No. Obsibrain is an independent product. We are long-time fans of Obsidian and built Obsibrain to extend it, but there is no formal affiliation or partnership.

You do not have to start over. The V1 importer analyzes a supported external Obsibrain vault, previews recognized content, warnings, and collisions, then creates new files in your V2 vault without touching the source. Obsidian’s “Open another vault” also lets you run both vaults side by side and move notes at your own pace.

Obsibrain ships as one dedicated plugin, so there is no required plugin chain to collide with. Themes work as usual, and you can add your favorite plugins on top. If something behaves unexpectedly, the documentation walks you through it.

Yes. Core views, commands, and workflows run on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android. The V1 importer and Obsibrain AI Alpha are desktop-only.
